Change in an unmanageable fashion

Some supposedly fundamental knowledge about customer behaviour must be re-discovered due to the ever-increasing change in the mentality of people in past decades, as well as in IT technology based services. A good example is marketing and some basic services (e.g. TV broadcasting or taxi / personal transportation)
Marketing textbooks' claims about customer behaviour are usually based on 20-30 sometimes 50 years old experimental findings, which were true in those times - not necesseraly true any more.
TV broadcasting was a thing in its time - yesterday HBO GO servers went down around 3am possibly becasue they couldn't handle requests - I bet some 500 million users wanted to watch GoT s8e1.

So, yeah, times are not only changing, but changing in an unmanageable fashion.
